Search Engine Optimization The Real Deal or Following the White Rabbit?

There are at least billions of pages on the internet with millions more added each day. I don’t know about you, but that makes me feel like a wee little fish in an oh-so-big pond. So how can we ensure that quality potential clients, customers, and readers will find us in the midst of so much information?

Answer: With the proper Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Campaign

Alice and Dina Please forgive the references to Alice in Wonderland, but my daughter has insisted on watching it every afternoon and so I have two things on my mind: SEO and that White Rabbit! As I watch it and listen to my daughter giggle and say every characters name that comes on the screen, I have decided that while the whole Alice in Wonderland thing is very imaginative, nothing drives me more crazy in life than a lot of fluff and no results--whether it’s watching a movie or trying to make business decisions. In that situation, I feel like I’m spinning my wheels--and that is the real nonsense.

Which brings me back to the topic at hand: Can a properly implemented SEO Campaign really produce results or are we all just a bunch of chumps like Alice following that White Rabbit in a wholelotta nonsense?

If you’ve had good exposure, you have known for a while that the proper SEO techniques can and do make a difference. Techies also know the tedious work that goes into it, therefore making it a specialty. Ergo, it costs money--that is, if you’re going to use the good guys and not the Cheshire Cat who seems to disappear on a whim.

Cheshire CatBut the average business owner hates having to pay for SEO and can’t seem to understand why it costs so much and takes so bloody long. That’s why we are here. We’ve been in business at Power 10 Solutions for almost 10 years and SEO is something we’ve been keeping a close eye on for many years. Due to our expertise, we can manage the process and coach you along the way. As with anything technological or internet based, you have to be savvy enough to discern snake oil from the real thing and in SEO, there’s a lot of snake oil (i.e. guaranteed results, black hat techniques, not to mention the torturous task of trying to ask the Cheshire Cat for directions--and trust me, that’s a fricken’ nightmare).

Alice with Mad Hatter and March HareIn the world of SEO, a savvy SEO-er can take you to the bank and back, and all you’ve accomplished is a run to the bank and still no clue where that darn white rabbit is going. With Power 10 Solutions on your side, you won’t have the Mad Hatter and the March Hare constantly offering you tea and never actually giving it to you. You’ll have seasoned advisors who have the technical know-how to sniff out the snake oil a mile away.

We have a team of SEO experts who have been vetted and confirmed as the real deal. Read about our SEO offering, or just ask us today how we can help you rise to the top of the haystack and reduce the nonsense.

When starting an SEO Campaign, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • A good campaign takes time.  All good things are worth the wait, so be patient!  For it to be done properly, it takes time. An immediate red flag--if someone promises immediate results, run, don’t walk. And if they promise specific results, again, run.  No-one can guarantee a specific placement.  I mean think about it...the odds are about a billion to 1! “Be patient” is easier said than done and I’m possibly the WORST “waiter” in the whole world--that is serving food and being patient!
  • Make sure it’s clearly outlined what you’re getting and speak up.  Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
  • Don’t be afraid to step outside the “box.”
  • Sometimes SEO experts will make suggestions that don’t seem to fit your brand. However, the idea is to “steal” users from other sites.  They’ve done the research and know what people are looking for when it relates to your business.

Over and out for now...

Oh and one last thing, if you haven’t watched the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland in a while, you should.  It’s very creative and entertaining. We are all Disney around my house, but if you’re feeling edgier, the Lewis Carroll version should give you a nightmare or two.
